Manufacturing process
Blow molding: Place the acrylic sheet heated to a softened state into the mold, blow it to expand and fit the inner wall of the mold to form a hollow hemisphere. This process is suitable for making larger hollow hemispheres, with high production efficiency and relatively low cost.
Injection molding: Heat and melt the acrylic particles and inject them into the mold cavity, and form a hollow hemisphere after cooling and solidification. Injection molded products have high precision, smooth surface, and good dimensional stability, but the mold cost is high. It is suitable for mass production of small-sized and high-precision hollow hemispheres.
Splicing process: For some oversized or specially designed hollow hemispheres, multiple small pieces of acrylic sheets may be spliced together. First, cut the acrylic sheets into suitable shapes and sizes, and then splice them together through professional plexiglass glue or welding technology to form a complete hemisphere.
